What's your favorite crappy- yet fun- driving videogame?
Mine's Cars 2 because you can drive an Aston with guns on. Just leave the sound turned off, because the glorious DBS aria is replaced with some American yek trying to do a British accent.
Following that, it'd be MarioKart Wii- the only existing driving game that's also a party game AND high!

Cel Shaded JDM up the wazoo, but wonky and very oversteery physics. Still loved the hell out of it.

Crashday. It was way too underrated, and got bad reviews. Wanted to pit a Lamborghini vs a Skyline in a machine gun brawl? You can do that!

The Saboteur.
Seriously, it's really fun to steal a convertible and go for a drive in the French countryside.
Or you can borrow a tank and shoot some siege-blimps and Nazis.

The pizza place my parents took me to in the '80s had the table version with 4 steering wheels arranged around the perimeter. So awesome. I'd love to have that as my kitchen table today.

An old GBA game- Corvette Anniversary or something. As far as I can tell it was actually designed by GM. If you pay attention, you realize the racetracks don't actually close in a circle, you overtake F1 cars in a Stingray, etc, etc. I loved it for some reason.

I loved listening to some techno and blasting down a long straight in the Zonda with some friends, swerving through traffic. I have to play that game again. Organized cruises were also very fun, at least in the first game.

Baja: Edge of Control
Physics are kinda comical, you don't so much as go for the ideal racing line as you do try to stay upright and pointed in the right direction, the car often tries to lead with the rear and bumps like to send you shooting off wildly (though as I learned in my first actual desert race behind the wheel all this does happen, though not as dramatically as in the game). But on the positives there are five MASSIVE maps you can freely explore (imagine five Horizon, Colorados but you're an off road truck so you can go wandering off through the trees and brush), mechanical issues such as overheating, flat tires, and worn out shocks are a real issue, which can be fixed either in the hot pits, via chase helicopter, or in the case of flats simply by stopping and hitting the repair button (if you still have a spare onboard) much like you would in actual Baja.
And my favorite bit, there are a series of endurance rallies, culminating in the Baja 1000, which takes about 2-3 hours to complete (depending on vehicle class), never repeats a road section, and each stage of the rally is about 20 minutes long. It's the longest non-lap and longest uninterrupted non-lap race I've found in any game. Plus, with luck, you can find a used copy at video game stores for $10 or less. It's an absolute STEAL at that price.

Go for the really old school.
Street Rod 2.
Look it up and trust me. Just don't do anything but the drag racing, the street driving controls were brutal.
All the cars:
